# dynmap-honeypot

a barebones honeypot for [dynmap](https://github.com/webbukkit/dynmap) spammers

## why

one of the features that dynmap offers is a chat available in the web interface.
however, by default it's enabled and doesn't require any authentication, 
which can be abused for spam purposes

this honeypot provides the following endpoints:

- `/up/sendmessage`
- `/up/configuration` (returns a dummy configuration)

when a message is received, the honeypot sends it to a discord webhook
provided in `DYNMAP_WEBHOOK` environment variable and to the stdout
